This is a list of every mob in the vanilla game. This list includes every current mob, secret mob, removed mob, and mentioned mob. A mob is an AI-driven game entity resembling a living creature. The term "mob" is short for "mobile entity".[1] All mobs can be attacked and hurt (from falling, attacked by a player or another mob, falling into the void, hit by an arrow, etc), and have some form of voluntary movement. Different types of mobs often have unique AI and loot.

Passive Mobs[]

Passive mobs are mobs which do not attack the player, even if attacked.

Allay, Axolotl, Bat, Cat, Camel, Chicken, Cod, Cow, Donkey, Fox, Frog, Glow Squid, Horse, Mooshroom, Mule, Ocelot, Pig, Rabbit, Salmon, Sheep, Skeleton Horse, Sniffer, Snow Golem, Squid, Strider, Tadpole, Tropical Fish, Turtle, Villager, Wandering Trader

Defensive Mobs[]

These mobs do not attack the player, but can still cause damage if attacked.

Pufferfish

Neutral Mobs[]

These mobs are peaceful until they are attacked, or under certain circumstances.

Bee, Cave Spider, Dolphin, Enderman, Goat, Iron Golem, Llama, Panda, Piglin, Polar Bear, Spider, Trader Llama, Zombified Piglin

Hostile Mobs[]

These mobs will attack even if the player doesn’t attack first.

Blaze, Creeper, Drowned, Elder Guardian, Endermite, Evoker, Ghast, Guardian, Hoglin, Husk, Magma Cube, Phantom, Piglin Brute, Pillager, Ravager, Shulker, Silverfish, Skeleton, Slime, Stray, Vex, Vindicator, Warden, Witch, Wither Skeleton, Zoglin, Zombie, Zombie Villager.

Semi-Mobs[]

These mobs may look the same, and may be the same mobs, but have different code or is a jockey.

Charged Creeper, Chicken Jockey, Dog, Raid Captain, Ravager Jockey, Spider Jockey, Cave Spider Jockey, Zombie Jockey, Strider Jockey

Bosses[]

These hostile mobs are very powerful, and have a boss bar while fighting.

Ender Dragon, Wither

Mini-Bosses[]

These hostile mobs are not bosses, and have no boss bar, but are still powerful enough to cause a lot of damage.
